10 Clever And Unexpected Uses Of Your Regular Lip balm That You Must Know!

Chapsticks are a ladies' BFF, without which they would think twice to walk out of the house. Having said that, it would not be incorrect to say that chapsticks or lip balms have obtained a permanent spot in about every female's purse.

Dry or chapped lips can be a extremely turn off for others and can also decrease your chances of being asked out for. A chapstick is a convenient way of soothing dry lips and keeping them moisturized. And with winters around the corner, the demand for chapsticks has suddenly seen a surge.

However, not many are informed that chapsticks are not just a dry lip remedy. If you are someone who hasn't been hit by that little savior yet, then we are here to give you enough reasons to rush to your neighboring store and grab one right away.

So here are some clever and surprising non-lip uses of chapsticks that will make your life easier:

1. Prevent blisters

Every woman loves to wear heels that add to her confidence and boosts her personality but most of the times, those gorgeous shoes can be silently creating a mini hell inside. For such footwears that are on the verge of causing blisters on your feet, simply rub your chapstick on the foot area that is causing you trouble.

2. For dry cuticles

A cracked cuticle can be warning you of some painful times ahead. Rub some chapstick on that cuticle and head it off. You can also apply lip balm on your dry elbows and knees for an instant moisturization when you are out.

3. Keep stray hair intact

Simply rub a chapstick on the flyaways, stray eyebrows or even moustaches, to keep them intact and neat.

4. Unjam your zipper

A stuck zipper is another of those common problems people face, especially when they are rushing to a party or office. All you need to do next is smear a petty amount of lip balm over the zipper's teeth and find the zipper back to its sliding self.

5. Soothe minor cuts

If you get a mini cut while shaving or using a paper cutter, then that modest chapstick can offer you an instant relief from bleeding.

6. To remove a stuck ring.

A stuck ring can be really challenging and painful. Instead of pulling, twisting and cribbing about it, simply rub some lip balm on your finger and you will see the ring slide off your finger easily.

7. Keeping shoelaces from untying.

Your shoelaces love to have some fun with you and if you want them to behave, just take some lip balm and rub it on the knot. Just don't let your shoes know about it or they will convey your strategy to their knotty (read naughty) friend.

8.  Mess-free dyeing of hair

Dyeing hair at home can be a little challenging with your hair color finding ways to stain your skin on the forehead and ears. Play safe and dab a little lip balm around your hairline area and in front of ears (before dyeing) and nullify the chances of color getting on your skin.

9. Relieve a dry, sore nose

Take a little lip balm on your finger and apply it on the dry, irritated nose patch caused by wiping the runny nose. Your nose is gonna thank you and you can thank us later but first get well soon!

10. Shine your shoes

You are rushing for office but unable to locate the shoe shiner; what next? Pull out that chapstick  and rub it on your shoes followed by a little buff with a dry washcloth.

Hope you enjoyed reading these non-lip uses of a chapstick. Talking about myself, I have started loving my mini companion all the more now. Hail chapstick!
