KOTA TINGGI, MALAYSIA — Malaysia's Veterinary Services Department laboratory is trying to find out the logic as to why a lifeless baby goat came out of its mother's belly with what many are calling "human-like features."
On April 25, officials stated that a man in the town of Kota Tinggi found that his goat had given birth to what seem to be a stillborn baby goat. Quickly, he noticed the goat had a conspicuous resemblance to that of a man. The face, nose, and short legs all looked, to him, like the body of a human infant covered in fur.
One theory scientists are looking into is the chance that the mother goat was violated by a human. However, due to gametic isolation, the receptor cells on the female goat's egg are highly unlikely to bind with human sperm. The species are too far apart for hybridization to be even a minute possibility.
It will take roughly two to four weeks before final results of the probe into the dead baby goat become available.
