8 Things To Know If You Are Fond Of Coloring Your Hair

Coloring hair appears cool. Everyone likes to get it, but not everybody attempts to do it because we all understand that it damages hair and leads to early graying.

But, here are a few points that you must pay attention to keep the health of your hair, because if you don't then color your hair today will lead to discoloration of your hair tomorrow permanently.

1. Apply away from the hair roots.

This is the basic which is said by everybody that all applies to the hair which contains chemicals should be kept away from the roots because, in the long run, the chemicals present in the hair color can cause oxidative damage.

2. Use ammonia-free and PPD free hair colors.

It can cause Contact Allergic dermatitis, and if you develop an allergy to an ingredient, it will stay life long.

3. Choose a color that is within 3 shades of your original color.

As the hair color becomes lighter, increased quantities of peroxide(bleach) is used so remember not to use lighter hair color.

4. Shampooing

Your hair is sensitive to the ingredients of the shampoo and not to its price. So, be careful of using sulfate-free shampoos, which can cause your hair to dry.

5. Your Mehendi should be chemical free.

Read the contents of the pack before using. Just because it's Mehendi, it does not mean that it will be purely herbal always. Plus, Mehendi makes your hair dry, rather your hair needs nourishment when colored.

6. Oiling is important.

There is nothing better than oiling your hair if you want to experiment anything or even wash your hair.

If you keep feeding your hair with oil regularly, you will not face a problem. Therefore, condition your hair with oil before washing before a head bath.

7. Conditioning after hair-wash.

Conditioners help to recover the dryness of your hair. You should apply it at least for 3 minutes after your head bath, so as to maintain the quality of your hair.

8. Find the right formula

Not only your skin but your hair also has certain requirements. Thick and curly hair will better go with gel or liquid formulas while foam dyes are better for sensitive skin.
