8 Simple Yet Effective Ways To Get Rid Off Oily Hair

Most of the ladies experienced the problem of oily hair later about a day of washing their hair. So what can be done to regulate excessive oil secretion from the scalp?

The steps are tolerably easy and yet super useful. These steps are something you can simply help throughout your day and you don't even have to follow on a daily basis.

Check out some easy techniques to reduce the oil in your scalp.

1. Avoid washing your hair everyday

If you're in the cycle of washing your hair every day, your scalp will be devoid of its natural oils and then go into overproduction of oil which will never stop.

2. Use a silk or satin pillowcase

Unlike cotton, satin or silk helps to distribute the oil in your scalp, so it won't seem too oily. The silk also helps to prevent your hair from becoming a frizzy mess the next morning.

3. Brushing your hair

Use a large bristle comb or brush when brushing your hair and thoroughly go from roots to tips of your hair. With this method, the oil can escape your roots and travel to the drier parts of your hair and then get absorbed in the large bristles of the brush.

4. Dry shampoo

You don't have to wash your hair every time you think it's getting oily. Just use some dry shampoo and rub it neatly over your scalp.

5. Tie up your hair

If your hair stays tied up, it would avoid the feeling of running your fingers through your hair. The finger to hair contact accumulates more oils and dirt from your hands that goes directly into your scalp.

6. Avoid straightening your hair

Straight hair tends to get more oily as compared to curly hair. Curly hair naturally gives more volume at the roots which distributes the scalp oil evenly.

7. Apple cider

Using apple cider on your hair will restore the pH balance of your hair, getting rid off any excessive oil. Just wet your hair under warm water and then apply the apple cider. Rinse it off in 10 minutes.

8. Use a sulfate free shampoo

Sulfates are basically chemicals and are used as cleansing and lathering agents for your hair. Avoiding a sulfate shampoo to prevent pumping of too many chemicals into your hair.
