You Should Never Let Anyone Kiss Your Baby On The Lips! Here's Why!

The life totally grows when you become a parent. Various things become serious such as your baby’s health and its overall well-being. Some may believe that you are becoming overprotective, but in most circumstances, this is not true as everybody should take proper supervision of their children.

However, this is not the case with other people, for instance, visiting friends bring along their children who already have diseases. Other cases are when there are children in the park with a cough and stuffy nose, and while playing with your kid they affect yours as well. Then many cases when irresponsible parents bring their children to a birthday party, but their own children had already had a stomach virus.

It may sound absurd, but certainly, we have to be conscious of what our children contact and play. Because due to germs and viruses, that are everywhere around us, we might get stuck at home taking care our sick children, and at the end, as eventually always happens, become sick as well.

There is a terrifying tale of an Englishwoman Claire Henderson, and her newborn daughter Brooke. Brooke was kissed on the mouth, and developed the herpes virus on her lips, cheeks and chin. Because the disease can be deadly for children under 3 months she had to stay for five days in a hospital. This story Claire Henderson shared on social media where she stated: “The moral of the story is DO NOT let anyone kiss your newborn’s mouth, even if they do not look like they have a fever blister”.

Luckily, Brooke survived, but there is one unfortunate story where the newborn baby did not make it. Baby Eloise Lampton was affected with the virus just a couple of days after she was born and sadly did not survive it.

All this comes to wonder, what kind of person comes and visits an infant, and on top of it kisses the baby on the mouth. Therefore, to avoid all these do not feel sorry when you ban a certain person to visit your baby. There isn’t overprotectiveness when your baby’s life is at a stake.

Infants up to six weeks are not immune to the majority of bacteria that older people have. Something like a sore throat or a runny nose can make quite a lot of health issues for the newborn, that is why; do not let people come near your baby with influenza or virus symptoms.

It may sound old fashioned, but babies should be visited after their six weeks of immunization, and definitely never to be kissed on the mouth even when they become older. Preserving your baby’s health and further on, your children’s health is the most important thing for you, therefore do not be nice to unconscientious people who come to visit you caring some kind of bacteria, virus, or germ.
