WARNING! Foods that shouldn’t be REHEATED and eaten again!


Reheating dinner is a way of life. But research shows that warming some of your beloved meals can be dangerous to your health, especially if they were stored incorrectly beforehand.

Have you ever tried to reheat a pot full of spinach or mushroom soup that you have prepared the day before? If you have done that, you are quite uninformed of the possible danger to your health.
Some foods, for example, could give you food poisoning—or worse—if reheated or stored improperly.

You must know that some foods change their composition and lose their nutritional properties, and even become toxic when reheated.

Here is a list of 7 foods that shouldn’t be warmed and eaten again:

  • Mushrooms
You should eat mushrooms immediately after preparation. But, if they stay for another day, it is better to eat them cold. If you reheat the mushrooms, the composition of protein and the taste will be changed. These changes can cause many digestive problems.
  • Chicken
It’s the same as with the mushrooms. If you reheat the meat, there will be a change in the composition of proteins. So, avoid reheating meat and especially chicken.
  • Potato

Potatoes are highly nutritional. But when we reheat them, they lose most of their properties, and can even become toxic. That’s why it is better to eat potatoes immediately after preparation (or you can also eat them cold).
  • Spinach
Spinach is a food with a high percentage of nitrates, which will become nitrites when reheated. Nitrites are carcinogenic for the human body, so make sure to eat only fresh spinach, ie, immediately after preparation.
  • Beet
Beets also contain nitrates that can become very harmful with reheating.
  • Celery
Celery also contains nitrates. Never reheat a meal that contains celery.

  • Eggs
Eggs are risky foods for reheating because they can also become toxic when exposed to high temperature.
