I do have this attitude of leaving my WiFi switched on in nights and often for 24/7. I will use my day time Internet to work on daily duties and nights will be for torrent downloads of latest Hollywood movies or Sitcoms. This is the story of many of my friends and readers too.
The very useful technology of WiFi poses some dangerous effects on us if we don't take proper precautions. The WiFi router emits bad and harmful electromagnetic waves or WLAN signals that are extremely harmful to our health.
The British Health Agency has studied and come up with some proven facts on the above topic.
#1 Lack of sleep or Insomnia in severe cases.
Being close to such radiations late night or even technology for that matter can lead to certain activities in your brain. This does not let you sleep.
#2 Chronic fatigue
The lack of a good night's sleep will eventually lead to a tired feeling the other day.
#3 Lack of concentration
These radiations also prove to slow your brain's function and kill your ability to concentrate on one thing.
#4 Pain in the years
This seems to be a very indirect cause. But, this is proven and hence should be taken seriously too.
#5 Headache
These all symptoms will make your brain so tired that you have high chances of a headache.
Precautions
Just turn off WiFi in the night and when not in use. Never keep your router in kitchen or bedroom and make sure to replace home wireless phones with cabled ones.
